Set for a 2012 launch, casting to begin in February, principle photography set for spring in NYC and Pittsburgh.  That’s all I can say right now, look for the official web site and social media launch soon.  My duties with the Manhattan Short Film Festival have me booked through mid October, so we are gearing up for 2012.

Thanks for reading,

Chris

They call me…Joker

Commercial artist and childhood friend John Herist, made me this sketch of my all-time favorite comic book character, the Joker.  John is also the lead artist working on my new internet web series pilot.  I’ll have more on the pilot as soon as possible…stay tuned!

Nulla Dies Sine Linea (no day without a line)

I began listening to Concrete Blonde The Bloodletting in college while writing theme papers for a class called “Masters of Horror Writing”. We studied the greats of horror, Stoker, Shelly, and my favorite, Poe. These songs were the influence behind all of my late nights of writing and sleeplessness.

The music was driven and sexy, it made me want to write, it made me want to let go and open doors to places I had never wanted to open before. So, here I am writing and listening to The Bloodletting again, this time no term papers, just me and my ideas. This was before the days of iPods and MP3’s, I had a CD player that I would set on ‘repeat’ and just let it go. Technology has changed but the effects of this album haven’t, at least not for me.

I find it funny that after all these years, when I listen to this album I can write with no fear of “hitting the wall” or being blocked in any way.

What are some of your favorite songs to listen to while you write? Let’s hear some feedback!

vs the earth Music video

Here’s how I spent my Monday…

I produced the music video for the band ‘vs the earth’.  My first venture into the world of producing was a mixture of fun and stress, but it all worked out.  The video was for thier song “Better Off Dead”, and starred Mindy Hall from VH1′s Rock of Love.  Special thanks to Mikko Timonen and Erin Judd from No Frames for their incredible vision and desire to make a kick ass video.  Kelly Diaz, our awesome art director did an amazing job and brought flare and style to our upstairs scenes.

The entire video was filmed at The Collective Hardware in New York.  This was the perfect place to film and the staff was absolutely amazing , extremely helpful and a great bunch of people.  Big thanks to Ronnie, Stuart, Sage, Kevin, and Gabe for standing in and taking a bottle to the head.

The crew did a great job, very professional and hard working.
